Our Mission
We are on a mission to reduce screen time and bring creativity, connection, and calm back into the lives of tweens and teens.
We believe in the power of imagination over algorithms. Today, tween and teen girls are spending more time than ever on screens, for neurodiverse kids, this can be especially harmful, overstimulating their brains and making it harder to focus, sleep and self-regulate. Research shows that increased screen time is linked to rising levels of anxiety, depression, and disconnection from the real world.
At Daydream Believing, we’re not here to ditch screens, just to balance them, encouraging more creating and less consuming and reminding ourselves that sometimes, the best ideas start off-screen, in a doodle, a scribble or a wild daydream. We’re here to gently pull our girls back - back to creativity, to curiosity and to themselves.
Why limiting screen time is so important.
Less screen time, more self-discovery
We believe kids need more than curated content and constant scrolling. They need quiet spaces, paper pages, and moments to be fully present in their own imagination.
Creativity calms and heals
It helps young minds express, explore, and make sense of the world around them. We celebrate creativity as a form of rest, reflection, and resilience - a playful, purposeful way for kids to process big feelings and spark new ideas.
Creative play brings us closer
Some of the deepest conversations happen not face-to-face, but side-by-side, in the quiet moments of making, scribbling, and dreaming together. We believe in the magic of shared creativity: creating the kind of memories that stick. It’s a beautiful way to deepen friendships or spark new ones.
